About Breastfeeding

Many experts of Pediatrics recommend that babies be fed nothing but breast milk for about the first 6 months and continue breastfeeding for at least 1 year. Breast milk not only can feed the baby with necessary nutrition and immune substance, which help lower the chance of early infection, but is also good for mom’s postnatal recovery of uterus and lower the chance of breast cancer and ovary cancer.

It’s not easy to be a postnatal mother, because challenges may occur from many situations, such as breasts’ swollen pain, breasts’ prolapse and work duty after maternity leave. Wang Shaoping, an expert at Guangzhou Elizabeth Women’s Hospital said: “Breasts’ swollen pain may come from improper breastfeeding. Breast massage, regular postnatal exercise and nutrition replenishment can help with the recovery and prevent breasts’ prolapse.” She continued, “to those working moms, we suggest they use bottles to store breast milk during work in order to carry on breast feeding for babies“.
