Currently, Guangzhou Elizabeth Women’s Hospital held a “Postnatal Recovery Meals” savoring event at the parents-to-be college. Nearly 40 future moms and their families were invited to participate. The director of the college—Liu Wen Ting not only shared delicacies with the future moms but also a class of Lamaze Painless Labor Delivery.
At the beginning, Liu Wen Ting introduced to all the future moms the science of Lamaze Painless Labor Delivery. She advocated that by taking Lamaze training, pregnant women were able to alleviate labor pain and trepidation, achieving natural birth giving. Lamaze is a kind of psychological intervention method which can strengthen pregnant women’s control over mind and muscle. Through correct pregnancy gym exercise and respirational training, pregnant women would feel greatly relaxed.
During the event, Elizabeth provided an opportunity for future dads to “experience” the labor pain, Elizabeth Women’s Hospital has a special equipment that can simulate the labor pain of pregnant women. The future dad felt uneasy and worried at first, but as Liu Wen Ting guided alongside, he gradually relaxed and went through the experience smoothly.
Here came the most attracting part of the event—postnatal recovery meals savoring. All the future moms had been longing for this moment. This time Elizabeth Women’s Hospital offered delicate Chinese cuisine. All the dishes were perfectly made on balance between taste and nutrition.
After the postnatal recovery meals savoring, future moms and their families were invited to visit the postnatal recovery club at Elizabeth Women’s Hospital. Elizabeth postnatal recovery club is established according to JCI standard.
