On 2015 November 22nd, 2015 China · GZ OB-GYN Ultrasound Diagnostic Development Seminar was successfully held at Guangzhou Elizabeth Women’s Hospital. Top experts in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine were invited such as Dr. Li Qiu Ming, the dean of Ultrasound Department of the GZ Women and Children Hospital, Dr. Zhang Xin Lin of Ultrasound Department of the 3rd Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat Sen University, Dr. Liu Hong Mei of Ultrasound Department of the 3rd Affiliated Hospital of Southern Medical University. In the seminar, latest development of ultrasound clinical diagnostic technique was introduced. Nearly 50 OB-GYN practitioners and ultrasound doctors had attended the seminar.

On the seminar, president of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association Mrs. Wang Zhi Qiong said: “Accurate ultrasound diagnostic check is of great importance to doctors. Guangdong Medical Doctor Association and GZ Elizabeth Women’s Hospital establish a wide-open platform for OB-GYN doctors to intercommunicate and study, which will facilitate the development of OB-GYN Ultrasound Medicine.”

Li Qiu Ming: Prenatal Ultrasound Diagnosis can find out most fetal abnormality
 

Ultrasound Diagnosis is still the major method of targeting fetal abnormality, particularly 4D Ultrasound, whose accuracy can reach 95%-98%. Dr. Li Qiu Ming presented her work of “Prenatal Ultrasound Diagnosis of Genetics”, indicating the odds of fetal abnormality and proper time for prenatal ultrasound diagnosis. She signified 3 important time for prenatal ultrasound diagnosis: Week11-13, Week20-24, Week28-34. For years of study in fetal neurological abnormality, chromosomal abnormality and Down's syndrome, Dr. Li Qiu Ming summarized that Prenatal Ultrasound Diagnosis can find out most fetal abnormality and should be a necessity in pregnancy check.

Zhang Xin Lin: The importance of ultrasound diagnosis in targeting pelvic dysfunction
 

Pelvic dysfunction has become one of the common chronic diseases among Chinese women. Dr. Zhang Xin Lin introduced that pelvic floor was a multilevel, complicated and interconnected integrity. Ultrasound had the advantages of non-invasive, repeatable, non-radioactive and price-reasonable. Thus it was most accepted in targeting pelvic dysfunction and the assessment before and after its treatment. She also said that ultrasound was majorly used to assess pelvic anatomical morphology and pelvic organs activity. Ultrasound diagnosis could be used to target Occult Sphincter Laceration at the posterior vaginal wall. The sooner to find out the symptom, the better it could be treated

Liu Hong Mei: 4D Ultrasound Angiography can provide scientific evidence for oviduct clearness
 

The infertility rate is rising these recent years. Oviduct occlusion and pelvic adhesion are the most common cause. Dr. Liu Hong Mei said that 4D Ultrasound Angiography was the primary method of checking oviduct clearness. On the seminar, she presented the ultrasound imagery analysis, judging criteria and report writing based on many real examples. Dr. Liu Hong Mei said: “Oviduct ultrasound angiography can real-time observe oviduct clearness, uterus, ovarian circumvolution and pelvic dispersion, deciding the necessity of laparoscopic surgery and its efficacy by providing scientific evidence for clinical diagnosis. As China issues policy to encourage second child, 4D Ultrasound Angiography will becoming more and more important”.
